Not long ago I was banned from another forum over a fight with a mod about allowing jokes that mocked God. The owner of the forum is a famous public figure and never would have believed he would approve of that and with presenting Scripture that appeared to be Scripture but was rewritten to say blasphemy. The worst was that most of the mocking came from those who professed to be Christian.
I am sincere in my worship and gratitude. If you honestly love God, how can you laugh with those that mock Him? Could a mother laugh with people laughing at her sons? A wife with those laughing at her husband? I could forgive and walk away, but I just don't see the "joke."
I was extremely bonded to many of the posters there, but I just really felt the Lord telling me to leave so I did, and it was really hard not to "look back". Then someone came to blessedcause and poured out her story of how she was accused of being me and was banned, and gave us the link.
The whole thing turned into a huge website brawl that really stretched me and put me in a situation I did NOT want to be in, but part of the blasphemy was removed and hopefully certain people are listening to the Lord. Because I believe that God had a calling on certain people at a certain forum . And because of that, it is held to a higher standard. (why they don't take the altered scripture verses off, though, I have no idea, maybe it was an oversight).
Here at BlessedCause, We welcome unbelievers, debate is good. But if you profess to love Christ and then mock Him, I can't allow it. From an unbeliever is one thing, but from believers, there is just something seriously spiritually wrong in that. And it's Biblical not to partake with "believers" that blaspheme. So the reality is, there IS a double standard here, more will be tolerated from atheists than believers.
And to believers, take heart when God is mocked by unbelievers. It's a good training ground. Christ loved them, we need to love those who persecuted Him as well.
Hopefully this forum will work out, but if not, it's all good.
